My background collectively includes fifteen years experience in both the
corporate and Cosmetology world. I have worked in the areas of Public
Relations Customer Service and Administrative Coordinator. I have also served
as Owner and Managing Stylist in my own business for nearly eleven years.
I have a diverse range of experience with all hair types and textures including
Caucasian as well as Oriental hair. Hair cutting, chemical applications and
thermal skilling are also my areas of expertise.
I am a master at sewn in weaving and bonding hair replacements and
enhancements. As an educator in this area I have produced 12 instructional
videos. I am a Licensed Managing Cosmetologist and Instructor. I am also
certified by the Ohio State Board of Cosmetology to provide continuing
education in the area of sewn in weaving. I have created and developed two (2)
techniques, the Malaysian Weave and the Web Weave, which are now used
widely in the hair industry.
I have achieved national notoriety for my exceptional talent as a fantasy hair
stylist. I have made 17 appearances on national television, which includes
Ricki Lake; Jenny Jones and the Maury show, demonstrating my unique styles
of fantasy and natural hair styling. I have also won 1st place in the last two (2)
competitions that I have participated in. For the last four years I have
performed nationally as a platform artist for BBD Products. I held the position
of Hair Stylist and Assistant make-up artist for the movie of the week,
respectively titled “Our Father” and have done the wig and hair work for
“Soldier Story” and “Trouble Don’t Last Always”. In addition to my television
appearances, I have made appearances on a local cable show, “The Voice”,
demonstrating a make-over and weave techniques on women suffering from hair
loss.
